Copa Holdings Announces Monthly Traffic Statistics for March 2008

PANAMA CITY, April 10, 2008 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- Copa Holdings, S.A. (NYSE: CPA), and its Copa Airlines and Aero Republica operating subsidiaries, today released preliminary passenger traffic statistics for March 2008:

For the month of March 2008, Copa Holdings' system-wide passenger traffic (RPM) increased 12.0%, while capacity (ASM) increased 10.3%. System load factor for March 2008 was 76.3%, a 1.1 percentage point increase when compared to March 2007.

Copa Airlines passenger traffic (RPM) for March 2008 increased 13.2%, while capacity (ASM) increased 15.5%. This resulted in a load factor of 80.2%, a 1.6 percentage point decrease when compared to March 2007.

Aero Republica passenger traffic (RPM) for March 2008 increased 4.1%, while capacity (ASM) decreased 9.4%. Aero Republica's load factor for the month was 57.2%, a 7.4 percentage point increase when compared to March 2007. Capacity reduction came as a result of Aero Republica's ongoing transition to smaller gauge EMBRAER-190 aircraft.
