Copa Holdings Announces 9.4% Traffic Growth for December 2007

PANAMA CITY, Jan 10, 2008 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- Copa Holdings, S.A. (NYSE: CPA), and its Copa Airlines and Aero Republica operating subsidiaries, today released preliminary passenger traffic statistics for December 2007:

For the month of December 2007, Copa Holdings' system-wide passenger traffic (RPM) increased 9.4%, while capacity (ASM) increased 8.0%. System load factor for December 2007 was 76.4%, a 1.0 percentage point increase when compared to December 2006.

Copa Airlines passenger traffic (RPM) for December 2007 increased 13.1% while capacity (ASM) increased 15.1%. This resulted in a load factor of 78.0%, a 1.4 percentage point decrease when compared to December 2006.

Aero Republica passenger traffic (RPM) for December 2007 decreased 5.8%, while capacity (ASM) decreased 15.3%. Aero Republica's load factor for the month was 69.6%, a 7.0 percentage point increase when compared to December 2006.
