Copa Airlines Expands Fleet With Delivery of New EMBRAER 190 Aircraft

Copa Airlines, a subsidiary of Copa Holdings SA (NYSE: CPA), took delivery last week of its ninth and tenth EMBRAER 190 aircraft, bringing its current fleet to a total of 35 aircraft.

"The EMBRAER 190 aircraft offers our passengers comfort, as well as gives us more flexibility to expand our service, increasing flight frequencies and adding destinations in the Americas," said Pedro Heilbron, CEO, Copa Airlines.

EMBRAER 190 aircraft are equipped with advanced engineering design elements, including "winglets" (wingtip extensions) and high-performance GE CF34-10E5 engines.

The aircraft is configured with 10 seats in Business Class and 84 seats in Coach designed for passenger comfort, with two seats on each side of the aisle and no middle seat.

Copa Airlines has one of the youngest fleets in the Americas, with an average age of 3.4 years. In addition to the 10 EMBRAER aircraft that Copa Airlines currently operates, its fleet includes 25 Boeing 737 Next Generation jets.
